Local Liberal Democrat Cllr David McBride joined fellow Lib Dem Cllr Brenda Thompson and local residents, sea scouts and other groups to clear the River Cray and Riverside Gardens in St Mary Cray.

The event was organised as a partnership between the Council and the local Friends of Cray Valley group.

"It was a really good community event," said David. "It made a big difference to tidy up what is a really beautiful part of St Mary Cray. I was glad to be able to lend a hand," he added.
